How do you make your sculptures?
Each sculpture is made using pipe cleaners, also known as chenille stems. Pipe cleaners are those basic craft supply that consist of two pieces of wire wrapped around soft bristles. I bend and twist them, almost with sewing-like techniques, to create my sculptures. I then often use Copic brand markers to color the eyes and add details. Although I rarely have to use glue, have no fear! Each sculpture is made to last!
So they won't break or fall apart?
That is correct. HOWEVER, if you bend any limb back and forth in rapid succession, it WILL snap in two. They are poseable, but use common sense when dealing with them--they're still pieces of art :).
Can I give them to my small child?
I would recommend NOT giving them to any child under 3. Although they can be the perfect toy for many children, again, use common sense. The sculptures are made of wire that CAN have sharp edges, and Copic marker is nontoxic but still not good for eating. So, please do not give your sculpture to a small child. Feel free to give them to older children, however! They'd make the perfect poseable friend ;).
How does payment work?
I use Paypal for all payments. All you need is a credit card to pay me. In the notes of your payment, be sure to include your address.
How about shipping?
Shipping is $4.50 within the US for anything less than $35. Anything more will be $5.50. E-mail me for shipments outside of the US.
What if I want something that is sold out?
You may request for me to create a new one and you can even request the details! E-mail me.
Will you teach me to create my own sculptures?
I'm sorry, but I cannot do so over the internet. Maybe someday I'll post a Youtube tutorial or something, but until then, you'll have to practice for yourself :(.
